Cat On a Hot Cotton Bed
July 8, 2010 / /
This has nothing to do with etiquette, but I had to share this cute photo. My kitty, Skeeter, often takes his daytime nap on the bed. That is also the hottest room in the house, unfortunately for Skeeter and for Eric and me. Funny how even though the basement is much cooler than the upstairs the cats always stay upstairs.
So, this is a photo of Skeeter all spread out trying to stay cool. For those of you who don’t own or know cats, when it’s cold they curl up to stay warm. But, when it’s hot they stretch all the way out so they can dissipate their body heat. Silly kitty!

Adorable! What a cutie. 🙂
On the days when it was the worst, my Tommy (a black medium hair cat) would be sleeping in a warm room, curled up on a wool slipper!! Lucy (tortie shortie) would sleep on the couch in the warm living room, behind a blanket.
Silly, silly kitties!
What a beautiful tiger boy, Arden – my favorite. Totally sweet pic!
Cute! My boy Oscar does that only it’s between my legs when I’m reading in bed-he stretches all the way out-like Super Kitty! When it’s cold he goes under the covers down by my feet and stays there all night.
